Our Commitment to Giving
4 Ingredients support many charities and worthwhile organisations in their quest to raise money and make life easier for those in need. We have hosted, and been to some amazing charity benefits over the past 7 years and would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all who contribute, often many are volunteers and give of their time and energy willingly.
Supporting charities provides our business with the opportunity to GIVE BACK and to help make significant improvements to the lives of many. This year alone, we have donated to over 60 various charities / hospices / not-for-profits, to the disadvantaged, vulnerable and people in need, but have chosen to fundraise for three.
Diabetes Australia-Victoria helps raise awareness of the importance of diet and exercise in the prevention of Type 2 Diabetes which represent approximately 85-90% of the 280 daily diagnosis of diabetes in Australia. Growing up with a Juvenile Type 1 Diabetic brother, diabetes awarness and education has always been near and dear to my heart.
Allergies & Anaphylaxis Australia
A&AA work tirelessly to inform support, educate and advocate for the needs of individuals and families living with food allergy and to support and participate in research. In 2013, they gave generously of their time and knowledge to help me write the very popular 4 Ingredients Allergies.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)
The NBCF was started by two women and a cat, and in 20-years have invested over $107 MILLION directly into research. In that time, the number of women dying from breast cancer has halved. Through research, they aim to achieve Zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. With 37 Australians diagnosed each day and 7 dying daily from the disease, there is still much to do. So 4 Ingredients decided to simply ‘DO!’ We wrote Cook 4 a Cure and have pledged to raise $100,000 from the sale proceeds for the NBCF.
“I am so thankful to 4 Ingredients and to everyone who buys a copy of Cook 4 a Cure ~ for this active expression of love for people going through breast cancer and for their hope that thanks to research, change can be created.”
CEO - National Breast Cancer Foundation
In 2014 Kim has generously donated her time and efforts into creating a beautiful cookbook to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It has been a wonderful experience working on Cook 4 Cure with Kim and the team at 4 Ingredients.
I have seen Kim captivate and entertain audience’s right across Australia from radio interviews, television appearances to cooking demonstrations and fundraising events for hundreds of guests. Kim has an extraordinary stage presence and her warm, caring and bright personality allows her to connect easily with all audience demographics. On behalf on the National Breast Cancer Foundation I would like to thank Kim for everything that has been achieved with Cook 4 a Cure.
