2-Ingredient Cupcakes

Serves 12 cupcakes


  • 340g packet vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup anything carbonated (I use creaming soda)


  • Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Into a large bowl, pour the cake mix. Then add the soda.
  • Stir together with a wooden spoon until combined.
  • Line a 12-hole cupcake tin with papers and spoon the mixture evenly among each.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Stand in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.

Recipe Notes

In this recipe, you are substituting soft drink for the eggs, water, and oil or butter. The cupcakes will taste slightly like the soda you used and the combinations you can use are endless ... Enjoy the experiment and the EASE!
