Basic Biscuits
Serves 60 Servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 500 grams butter
- 5 cups self-raising flour
- 400 grams can condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, cream the sugar and butter until white and fluffy.
- Sift in flour, and pour in condensed milk.
- Mix to combine.
- Roll into teaspoon size balls and place on paper lined baking tray.
- Flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
Recipe Notes
Optional: Anything can be added to the basic mix to give variety, such as; smarties, cornflakes, sultanas, finely diced apple, cinnamon, choc chips etc. For a healthier version, use half wholemeal flour. NB: Mixture will freeze. Roll into balls, and place in container layering with non-stick paper. Thaw slightly before cooking.
