Hot-Diggety Dogs

Serves 4 serves


  • 4 hot dogs (frankfurters)
  • 400g can baked beans
  • 4 long hot dog buns
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese grated


  • In a saucepan of simmering water, cook the hot dogs for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, warm the baked beans.
  • Place the drained hot dogs in the buns and top with the baked beans and cheese.

Recipe Notes

There are many possible fillings for Hot-Diggety Dogs; make a quick salsa from tomatoes, red capsicum (peppers) and coriander, caramelized onions, bacon, cheese and onions or simply serve with the classic tomato sauce and mustard.
