Banana Splitz

Serves 4 serves


  • 4 bananas
  • 16 marshmallows
  • 4 scopps creamy vanilla ice-cream
  • 1/2 cup strawberry sauce/topping


  • Peel the bananas and lay each into four serving plates.
  • Dot each with 4 marshmallows, dollop with icecream and drizzle with strawberry sauce.

Recipe Notes

This recipe is how my kid’s like to eat Banana Splitz, none are fans of maraschino cherries nor whipped cream … You make this however your kids like it!
Optional: If serving as dessert at a party, add wafers and M&Ms for a real burst of colour. Alternatively, substitute strawberry sauce with your own homemade chocolate sauce; in a small saucepan over low heat, melt 100g of butter, add ½ cup (110g) brown sugar, ½ cup (125ml) cream and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and stir for 3 minutes or until well combined. Cool a little prior to serving.
