Budgie Balls
Serves 24 balls
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup bird seed
- 1/2 cup organic oats
- 1/2 cup wholemeal flour
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 cup raw honey
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 180°C.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- Add the bird seed, flour, and oats to a small bowl and mix well.
- Add water and honey and mix to form a dough.
- Using a teaspoon, roll into 24 even-sized balls.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until starting to brown slightly.
- Cool completely and store in an air-tight container
- These freeze perfectly, remember they are a treat so no more than 1 ball, twice a week.

Optional: Finely chop and add any of your budgies (canaries or lovebirds) favourite fruits, vegetables or nuts to the mix.
