Serves 12 servings
Ingredients
- 3 slices Wholemeal bread crusts removed
- 1/2 cup (140g) tomato sauce
- 12 cocktail frankfurters (cheerios)
- 1/4 cup (60g) butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven 180C.
- Line a tray with baking paper.
- Gently pierce the frankfurters all over with a fork.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out the slices of bread to flatten slightly.
- Spread tomato sauce on the bread, then cut into quarters.
- Place frankfurter diagonally on each quarter of bread. Bring up edges and secure with a toothpick.
- Brush the bread liberally with the melted butter. Place onto prepared tray and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned and crispy.
- Serve warm.
