Serves 4 serves


  • 500g beef mince
  • 200g bacon finely diced
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce


  • Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, and sea salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  • Form into 4 patties; 10cm diameter and 1.5cm thick.
  • Place the patties onto the tray. Cover with cling film and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to rest. Chilling the patties will help them hold together when cooking.
  • In a large nonstick frying pan cook each pattie for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
