Tahini Chewy Bars
Serves 12 bars
Ingredients
- ½ cup tahini
- ½ cup agave nectar honey or rice malt syrup
- 1½ cups rolled oats
- ⅓ cup raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Line a 20 x 20cm square cake tin with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, stir together the tahini and agave.
- Stir in the oats and raisins.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth with the back of a spoon.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
- Cool completely before slicing to serve.
Recipe Notes
Tahini is made from sesame seeds and is a good source of calcium, protein and healthy fats. It can be used as an alternative spread to margarine and can add valuable nutrition to a vegetarian diet.
