Tahini Chewy Bars

Tahini Chewy Bars

Serves 12 bars


  • ½ cup tahini
  • ½ cup agave nectar honey or rice malt syrup
  • cups rolled oats
  • cup raisins


  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Line a 20 x 20cm square cake tin with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the tahini and agave.
  • Stir in the oats and raisins.
  • Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth with the back of a spoon.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
  • Cool completely before slicing to serve.

Recipe Notes

Tahini is made from sesame seeds and is a good source of calcium, protein and healthy fats. It can be used as an alternative spread to margarine and can add valuable nutrition to a vegetarian diet.
